There’s something powerful about a picture.

A quiet path.
Bare trees.
Gray skies.
A road that bends out of sight.

It can feel so uncertain.

And that’s exactly what following Jesus can feel like sometimes.

You don’t know what’s ahead.
You don’t know what’s around the corner.
You don’t know if the next turn leads to a valley… or a climb.

And fear whispers: You don’t know where this is going.

But look again. Did you notice something about the path?

It is paved.

Not guessed.
Not shifting.
Not fragile.

Paved.

God’s Word is similar.

     - It doesn’t reveal every turn
     - It doesn’t remove every hill
     - It doesn’t eliminate every unknown

But it gives you something solid to walk on and guide the way.

And here’s the beauty…

If you came back to that same path in a few months:

     - The trees would be full
     - The grass would be green
     - Life would be everywhere

But the path? Unchanged.

Because seasons change… but God’s Word never changes!

In John 20, the disciples are feeling lost and afraid:

     - fear all around
     - uncertainty pressing in
     - doors locked tight

But what they didn’t realize was this: The Person who made the way was about to
walk into the room.

Jesus didn’t change their environment first…He changed their foundation. And that
changes everything.

Reflection

Where in your life does it feel like your lost right now?

Where is fear whispering uncertainty?

Truth to Hold

You may not see what’s ahead… but you can trust the One who paved the way beneath
your feet.

Prayer

Lord Jesus,
When I cannot see what’s ahead, help me trust what You’ve already laid beneath me.
When fear rises, remind me that Your peace is my foundation.
And when the path feels uncertain, help me remember…
You are already there.
In Your name, Amen.
