Elder - Secretary

Job Overview:

The Secretary Elder will serve as a key member of the Elder Leadership Team at the Stone Church. This role will involve maintaining accurate records, managing communication, and assisting the Lead Pastor in  ensuring that the church’s spiritual leadership and governance remain organized and effective. The Secretary Elder will play an integral role in supporting the ministry and vision of the church through efficient
administrative and clerical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

*Meeting Coordination: Schedule, prepare agendas, and attend elder meetings, ensuring all logistical needs are met.
*Record Keeping: Take and distribute meeting minutes, ensuring all important decisions and action items are documented clearly.
*Correspondence: Maintain effective communication between the leadership team, staff, and congregation. This includes sending out notices, announcements, and other written communications.
*Documentation: Oversee the organization and storage of church records, including membership, baptism, marriage, and other vital documents.
*Support the Elder Team: Provide administrative support to fellow elders, ensuring timely follow-up on responsibilities and initiatives.
*Confidentiality: Handle all sensitive and confidential church matters with integrity and discretion.

Qualifications:

*Active member of the Stone Church for at least three years.
*Strong organizational and time-management skills.
*Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Previous administrative experience is a plus, particularly in a church or nonprofit setting.
